German heating costs: from meter readings to a reviewable record

A heating statement should explain how costs, readings and allocation rules produce an amount. Estate Base Cloud supports that workflow within a defined German scope.

Keep costs and readings together

Record the billing period, verified heating and hot-water costs, meters and readings. The German workflow separates fixed and consumption-based costs using the configured rules. Missing or implausible inputs must be resolved before release. Software cannot establish that a source invoice is factually correct.

Records for the right recipients

Heating records and consumption information preserve their calculation basis. Portal access considers the person, unit, role and period. Changes of owner or tenant therefore belong in acceptance testing. Creating a file does not by itself prove valid delivery to the recipient.

A visible CO₂ classification

For residential buildings heated through the landlord, the additional record calculates the ten bands under the German CO2KostAufG. Inputs are building emissions, residential floor area, period and the CO₂ cost already allocated to that tenancy. Rounding, short periods and evidenced public-law restrictions are shown. Review comes before publication.

The limits of this CO₂ record

It creates no additional charge and does not automatically amend an invoice. Costs must already have been allocated correctly. Tenant self-supply, non-residential buildings and separate fuel or network-cost provisions need their own assessment. This record is not presented as a complete legal review.

Accept against a known reference statement

Compare one closed period: source invoices, readings, floor areas, consumption share, hot-water split, occupant changes, CO₂ band and rounding. Inspect the PDF and sign in as the intended recipient to check access. Document differences and resolve them before sending production statements.

Language does not determine jurisdiction

German-speaking teams may manage international estates. German heating rules do not thereby apply to Mauritius, Austria or Switzerland. Country, currency and interface language are configured separately. Check local requirements with the appropriate qualified person.
